Getting Started & Common Questions
Where are your products made?
All of our DTF transfers and gang sheets are printed and manufactured by us in-house in the United States. Our tumblers and other customizable products are also engraved and finished by our team in-house.
While some of the raw materials and blank items we use may be sourced or imported, every finished product is created, customized, and quality-checked by us using professional-grade equipment from start to finish.
Do you drop-ship or use a Print-on-demand service?
No, we do not dropship or use print-on-demand services. Every order is printed or engraved in-house by our team using professional-grade equipment, then carefully packed and shipped by us. This hands-on process allows us to control color, detail, and durability, so you receive the high-quality results we’re known for, every time.
Do you accept tax-exempt or resale certificates?
Absolutely! We’re happy to support tax-exempt and resale customers. Submit your valid certificate using our Tax Exemption Upload Form, and once approved, your account will be updated so that future eligible orders are tax-free.
Do you accept bulk orders?
Yes! We gladly accept bulk and volume orders for both DTF transfers and custom-engraved products. If you’re ordering in larger quantities or have a special project, please contact us using our Contact Us Form so we can review your details and provide custom pricing and turnaround options.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes, we offer bulk discounts on qualifying orders. Pricing is based on quantity, product type, and production requirements. For larger orders or ongoing business needs, please reach out through our Contact Us Form so we can review your project and provide the best possible pricing.
Printing, Engraving & Artwork Requirements
We specialize in two professional customization methods: DTF printing for apparel and heat-applied transfers, and precision laser engraving for items like tumblers and leather. Because each process has unique file and artwork requirements, these FAQs are designed to help ensure your design looks its best—no matter what you’re ordering.
Can I upload a logo or custom design?
Yes! You can upload your logo, artwork, or custom design directly on the product page. By submitting a file, you confirm that you own the rights to use it or have permission to reproduce it. We engrave exactly what you provide, so please ensure your artwork does not infringe on any copyrights or trademarks.
Is my artwork kept private and secure?
Yes. Your artwork is used solely to produce your order and is never shared, resold, reused, or displayed without your permission. All logos, designs, and files remain your property and are handled confidentially by our team. We understand that many of our customers are business owners and resellers, and protecting your brand and intellectual property is extremely important to us.
Do you offer design help if my file isn’t ready?
Yes! We do offer design help if needed. Just reach out to us using our chat or contact form. Provide us with the details and the image you'd like to have cleaned, and we will provide you with a quote based on the complexity of the design. We do not reuse or share your artwork.
DTF Printing
What is DTF printing?
Direct-to-Film (DTF) is a modern printing method for custom apparel that produces vibrant, long-lasting prints on virtually any fabric. Designs are printed onto a special PET film and then heat-pressed onto the garment, creating a soft, high-resolution print that holds up wash after wash.
Compared to traditional printing methods, DTF delivers sharper detail, richer color, and consistent durability. A white ink base enhances vibrancy, while digital printing allows for precise detail—without the limitations of screens, vinyl cutting, or direct-to-garment absorption. The result is a flexible, professional-quality print that performs reliably across a wide range of fabrics.
What are the file requirements for DTF Transfers?
For best results, upload high-quality, print-ready artwork, typically a PNG with a transparent background, sized exactly how you want it printed. Each DTF product page includes detailed file guidelines, so we recommend reviewing those before uploading to ensure the best possible print quality.
What’s the difference between a single transfer and a gang sheet?
A single DTF transfer is one design printed at a specific size, perfect for one logo or graphic. A gang sheet is a larger sheet that lets you place multiple designs to be printed together on one sheet. With a gang sheet, you can combine different logos, graphics, and sizes into a single layout, making it a more cost-effective option for bulk orders, small businesses, and multi-design projects.
Can I mix multiple designs on one gang sheet?
Yes! Gang sheets are designed for multiple designs on a single sheet. You can combine logos, graphics, and different sizes however you’d like, as long as everything fits within the sheet size you select and is laid out exactly how you want it printed, with enough space between each design for cutting.
Laser Engraving
What is laser engraving?
Laser engraving is a permanent marking process that uses a precision laser to etch your design directly into the surface of the product. The result is a clean, professional finish that won’t peel, fade, or wear off over time.
What products can be engraved?
We currently offer custom engraving on tumblers, as well as leather and leatherette patches. Each item is engraved in-house using professional-grade equipment for crisp, long-lasting results.
Will I receive a proof before engraving?
For most custom engraved orders, we may provide a digital proof when needed—especially for logos, detailed artwork, or unique layouts. This ensures everything looks correct before production begins.
What happens if my uploaded file isn’t suitable for engraving?
If your file isn’t compatible or needs adjustments for engraving, we’ll contact you before proceeding. In some cases, we may be able to make minor fixes, or we’ll let you know what’s needed so you can provide an updated file.
Orders, Shipping, & Turnaround
How can I track my order?
Once your order is shipped, you’ll receive a tracking number via email. You can use this number to track your package on the carrier’s website. If you haven’t received tracking information within 1–2 business days, please contact our support team for assistance.
Can I cancel or modify my order after it has been placed?
Once an order is placed, it quickly enters the production process. Please contact us as soon as possible at info@printpony.co to discuss any changes or cancellations. Please note that changes or cancellations cannot be made once production has started.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Due to the custom nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges on DTF transfers, custom apparel, or engraved items. If your order arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can resolve the issue. Please provide your order number, date of purchase, and any images of the item purchased.
What is the turnaround time (TAT) for DTF vs. custom-engraved items?
Turnaround times vary by product type. DTF transfers and gang sheets are typically produced faster (1-3 business days), while custom-engraved items require additional setup and precision work (5-7 business days).
Each product page displays its estimated production time, so you’ll know exactly what to expect before placing your order.
